What fitted sheet size should I choose for my mattress?
Are you unsure about the size of your new fitted sheet? Sylvie Thiriez offers you an overview to help you quickly identify the right size for your mattress, whether it is a standard double bed, a queen size or a king size. Using a measuring tape, start by measuring your mattress lengthwise, then widthwise.
If in doubt, feel free to refer to our size guide. We also recommend measuring your mattress height in order to determine its thickness and the corresponding fitted sheet depth. Once these measurements have been taken, simply choose a fitted sheet with the same dimensions as your mattress and with a depth large enough to fit snugly around it. As a general rule, the fitted sheet depth should be about 5 cm more than the mattress thickness.
At Sylvie Thiriez, most of our fitted sheets feature a 30 cm depth, compatible with most standard mattresses. Some very thick models (+25 cm thickness) require a deeper fitted sheet.
What fitted sheet size for a 160x200 bed?
Ideal for sleeping two, the queen size bed measures 160x200 cm. As mentioned in the introduction, the fitted sheet size is defined according to the mattress dimensions. You should therefore choose a 160x200 cm fitted sheet to cover your queen size mattress. While a 30 cm depth is generally sufficient, feel free to order one of our 160x200 cm models with a 40 cm depth if you have an extra-thick mattress measuring 30 or 35 cm. What fitted sheet size for a 140x200 bed?
If you have a standard 140x200 cm bed, choose a fitted sheet of the same dimensions so that it fits your mattress perfectly. Be careful not to confuse it with 140x190 cm models, which may be difficult to fit.
What fitted sheet size for a 140x190 bed?
140x190 cm mattresses require a 140x190 cm fitted sheet. Here again, be careful and avoid 140x200 cm models, which may not stay in place properly and can wrinkle during the night. Do you have an adjustable 140x190 cm bed base? Choose a dedicated fitted sheet measuring 270x190 cm.
What fitted sheet size for a 180x200 bed?
Do you enjoy extra sleeping space and have chosen a 180x200 cm king size bed? You will need to purchase a large fitted sheet, also measuring 180x200 cm. If you have an adjustable king size bed, make sure to choose a 290x200 cm model.
